Women Owning Woodlands - National Network
Women Owning Woodlands (WOW) is a national network formed by local chapters across much of the United States - there is at least one chapter in each of 29 different states. These chapters are led by foresters, natural resource professionals, educators, and women landowners.

North-Central Ohio Women Owning Woodlands
North-Central Ohio Women Owning Woodlands (NCOH-WOW) was formed in 2020. Our chapter's steering committee is led by three women who are professionally invested in the forestry industry:
Jessica Miller Mecaskey, a consulting forester with Holden Forests & Gardens, based in Lake County
Katherine (Katie) Gerber, a state service forester with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Forestry, based in Ashland County
Karen Gotter, a watershed coordinator with the Holmes Soil & Water Conservation District, based in Holmes County
Our service area, highlighted in olive-green, includes counties where we focus our programming. Everyone from everywhere is always welcome though!
